Getting a car service in Auckland is super important for you and your car. Think of a service as you would a doctor appointment. When you’re feeling ill you know it’s a terrible idea to ignore your symptoms because you’ll just feel worse and it’ll take longer for you to recover. Since humans are not invincible, we know it’s best to go to the doctor before we get worse. This is the exact same for your car.
Getting a regular service is so beneficial because it will extend the lifespan of your car. By checking the fluid levels, tyre pressure, lights, brakes and battery regularly this will ensure your vehicle is safe to drive.
You also save money if you get a service regularly. During the service if your mechanic discovers something that needs to be repaired or replaced then it’s cheaper to get it done right then and there rather than getting stuck in the middle of the road. You’ll find yourself facing a hefty bill when you have to now get multiple repairs done on your vehicle.

When should I Get an Auto Servicing?
With each auto shop they offer basic services and full services. For a standard service they recommend every 6 months, as this is necessary because by this time period the oil becomes contaminated and the brakes begin to wear and they’ll require replacing/adjusting. For a full service they recommend every 2 years. This is necessary because certain fluids of your car will be asking for a replacement, such as: anti-freeze, brakes, transmission and power steering. These fluids need a replacement every 40,000-50,000 km, 90,000-100,000 kms (this will also be a good time to get the cambelt replaced) and every 140,000-150,000 kms.
All in all, a car service is super important if you care about your vehicle’s well being. Your car will be so grateful if you take it for a service regularly.
